Russell was admitted as a solicitor in November 1988, after completing a Bachelor of Laws and Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the Queensland Institute of Technology.  After several years practising as a solicitor in Beenleigh, Russell joined Quinn & Scattini in April 2002.

Russell's broad range of legal experience includes wills, powers of attorney, deceased estates, employment law, criminal law, family law, administrative law, conveyancing, business law, debt recovery, professional negligence, and personal injuries.  From that diverse background Russell now specialises in wills, powers of attorney, and deceased estates.

Russell represents clients on matters such as: challenging the validity of a will, challenging unfair provisions in a will, contesting paternity of beneficiaries of an estate, Guardianship and Administration Tribunal, estate planning, estate administration and trustee disputes.
