Evette graduated from the University of Tasmania in December 2003, and did a post graduate certificate of legal practice in 2004. Evette was then admitted to the Supreme Court (Tasmania) in August 2004.

Evette moved to Sydney where she took some time out, before continuing to Brisbane where she comenced work in a small firm which dealt almost exclusively in Family Law. Evette was admitted to the High Court of Queensland in January 2005. She finds Family Law very rewarding and wishes to continue her experience in this area of law.

Evette completed some volunteer work at the Women's Legal Centre in Annerley, and enjoys skiing, dancing, cooking, and socialising with her friends.
