Bravehearts

Bravehearts is the only registered charity in Australia that deals specifically and holistically with the issue of child sexual assault. Bravehearts not only provides professional support and therapeutic services to child victims of child sexual assault, they aim to 'Break the Silence' on the issue of paedophilia wherever it is found, create and promote prevention and protection strategies; actively seek to increase public awareness and provide increased education and research. .

With year 12 studies out of the way, Kristy is now up to 11 training sessions per week.  She competed in the Olympic trials in March, and was in Perth competing at the National State Age Championships in late April in the 200m and 100m freestyle and 200m and 100m backstroke. 

Kristy entered the Noosa Blue Water 2km swim and 700m dash in May, having finished 5th in the open 2km swim at Mooloolaba last month.

Kristy also put in a record-breaking performance at a Brisbane and Gold Coast swim meet competition back in August, where she took home a medal for a record-breaking time of 1.04 for the 100m backstroke and just over 30 seconds for the 50m backstroke.

Kristy and Chris also competed in the 2006 Noosa triathlon in the 'Quinn & Scattini Tri-Stars' team.
